The Discipline of Biblical Mindfulness and Soul Searching Episode 19

Jun 25, 2019 | Faith, Podcast Episodes

When you hear the word ‘mindfulness’, do you instantly think of biblical mindfulness or worldly mindfulness?

Worldly Mindfulness originates from the early teachings of Buddha and involves the practice of clearing one’s mind, focusing on your breathing, being present in the moment, etc.

Biblical Mindfulness, looked at more deeply in today’s episode, is based on Scripture that calls us to develop the discipline of being mindful and still before God. Instead of emptying our minds, we fill it with the truth of God’s Word and the fruit of the Holy Spirit.

Today’s episode is packed full of Bible passages, which you can follow the links below to an online Bible resource if you do not have a one readily available to you. If you have any questions or thoughts about this episode, please let us know! We’d love to discuss it further with you in order that you may walk closer with Jesus Christ, our Lord.
