With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring to fulfillment your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by faith. 


¹² We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.  2 Thess 1:11-12


I came across this verse this morning.  How powerful!  


I’ve been challenged to pray this for myself, but also for others.  Paul prayed God’s power would fulfill every deed prompted by faith for the Thessalonians!  How relevant is that for us!


Those kind words to said to that older woman or struggling mom at Walmart + this prayer


 (Lord, would your power be fulfilled in that word of encouragement!) 


= God’s power for His glory to be fulfilled in her life!




The time you’re pouring into that difficult person in your life + this prayer 


(Lord, would your power be fulfilled in the time I spent with them when it seems like nothing is changing) 


= God’s power  in that time to be fulfilled in their life for His glory.


You get the idea, the list could go on.


What ever good deeds you do today by faith, commit the power of God’s words in 2 Thess 1:11-12 in prayer to the situation, and trust that 

And I’d love to hear how this verse impacts you as your pray it and live it out.  I have already spent time praying it for many of  you this morning, knowing His power is greater than we can ever imagine!  


God’s word is good, is it not?  Oh, for His Honor and glory!
