Saturday Morning Coffee

May 11, 2013 | Faith

Life at our house has been busy this week.  Track meets, basketball practice, tennis  practice before school, Prom, field trips, work for our senior until dark after school, jobs, planting the garden, cutting rhubarb, 4-H goat tagging, 4-H shooting sports, a speaking engagement, designing a new website, getting ready for graduation, finishing a quilt, and a little bit of writing.

I spoke at a Mother-Daughter Banquet this week on grace. I posted the heart of the message at Not Alone Mom yesterday, The Art You Can’t Afford to Ignore: Growing in Grace.  I also posted one of my most popular posts on raising girls at Parents Space: Raising Girls: Things I Would Do Over.  If you haven’t visited here this week, I posted my daughter’s story which went viral, and the “before” and “after” stories if you’ve missed them.

Before I hurry into our day, I wanted to say how thankful I am for each one of you.  If you could visit with me this weekend over coffee, these are some of the scenes you’d see at Life Beyond the Picket Fence.  I thought I’d share them with you.

I’m off for a day of errands and deep cleaning, and making something with all the rhubarb I cut from the garden. I hope you have a great day, a great Mother’s Day.  I’d love if you join me on Facebook where we can share life as it happens throughout the week, including some of these things.

My prayer for you, “May God supply all of your needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Phil 4:19.

How has your week been? I’d love to hear.
