Do you spend time online? You won’t to miss this episode of Life Beyond the Picket Fence!
In the first of a series, Brenda encourages us to implement guardrails in our lives. Guardrails are boundaries that help keep us safe from danger. As adults, we are “free” to live however we choose. However, the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 10:23 that even though everything is permissible, not everything is beneficial. So even though we are able to do something doesn’t mean it’s good or healthy for us. Without guardrails, we soon find ourselves spiraling out of control.
So if you answered yes to spending time online or on any type of social media, then you have probably fallen into one of these traps: too much time, passive aggressive comments/reactions, comparing your life with others, and/or discontentment. Today’s technology is a super useful tool, however it can quickly invade our space and our homes if we are not careful and guarding our spiritual/emotional/physical well being. Putting up social media guardrails for yourself may be challenging at first, but you will soon find your heart and mind refreshed and renewed.
