“I have no idea how I handled things before I knew Him,” she wrote.
I looked at my computer screen. She got it. My friend was writing about her current trials on top of childhood trauma and abuse she’s still healing from.
The words are powerful. It’s the pure and simple gospel. It’s why I choose Jesus and not religion.
Jesus makes a difference, religion doesn’t.
I look at the world around me and something isn’t working.
We’re messed up.
I see it everywhere. Do you?
There are words inside of me that won’t come out.
I don’t know how to share the experiences I’ve had this week other than Jesus makes a difference.
I’m speaking near Milwaukee this week sharing the difference Jesus has made in my life.
Today I can only say what my friend poignantly said,
It’s because of His power in my broken life that allows me to handle things.
Will you pray for me this week as I share with women?
How has Jesus made a difference in your life?
I think we need to get back to basics a little.
Prayers and strength and love to you always –
I think we need to hear the words with our hearts now..
I feel that when you send notes and write here.
You are making a difference.
MUch love,
Laurie
Thank you Laurie!
