These are words people use to describe Brenda. Brenda started blogging to reach women like herself, whose lives don’t fit the storybook image. Since then, her blog on life, faith, and parenting reaches people internationally from diverse age groups and walks of life.
Brenda’s a national speaker, free-lance writer and parenting columnist for 10 to 20 Parenting, Choose Now Ministries, Whatever Girls and Not Alone Ministries. She speaks for church groups, women’s retreats, youth events, and MOPS groups. She has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a B.A. in Education. After being a stay-at-home-mom and teacher, she’s currently a school counselor with a private counseling practice. In 2003 and 2004, she received the “Powerful Connection” award for teachers. Brenda’s recently published in Chicken Soup for the Soul’s “Reboot Your Life.” Brenda and her husband live on a farm in Northern Indiana with their four children.
